Divorce Mediation Conference Comes To West Harrison

WEST HARRISON, N.Y. – The New York State Council on Divorce Mediation is holding its annual conference Thursday through Saturday in West Harrison.

Clare Piro, a White Plains resident and Harrison divorce mediator, will  be honored this week as the outgoing president of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation.

This year’s theme is “Digging Deeper” and focuses on reaching divorce agreements in a cooperative setting, according to a press release.

Planned session topics include the following.

  • Children & Family Issues Putting Children First: Developmental Parenting Plans
  • Financial Considerations How Divorce Affects Social Security & Disability Income
  • Using Technology in a Mediation Practice
  • When Nothing You Do Works … Perhaps Intimate Partner Abuse/Violence Is The Reason

Clare Piro, a White Plains resident and Harrison divorce mediator, will also be honored as the council's outgoing president.

The conference will be held at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel, 80 West Red Oak Lane.
