EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – After bringing several state-of-the-art medical procedures to his private practice in Tuckahoe two years ago, Dr. Michael Kerin, the former director of surgery at Lawrence Hospital has partnered up with Cynosure to establish Westchester County’s first “Center of Excellence.”

The Kerin MedSpa and Laser Center presents a one-stop shop specializing in medical aesthetics, laser treatments and cutting-edge spa services. The medical spa uses lasers and technology for everything from fat reduction and vein care to skin tightening, hair removal and massage therapy.

According to Kerin, by teaming with Cynosure – one of the nation’s leading laser companies – to form the Center of Excellence, the versatility the partnership allows ensures that patients get the ideal treatment from a series of experts all housed in one location.

“The transition into a MedSpa and Laser Center allows the community to receive care for all its aesthetic needs under one roof, with the supervision of a physician,” he said. “Patients can come in for a complimentary consultation, and a plan of care can be developed depending on the goals of each patient.”

Since teaming up, Kerin and his staff have been enjoying the partnership with Cynosure, which ensures they have the latest technology and tools. Kerin MedSpa and Laser Center can say it’s the only practice in Westchester or the Bronx to have a PicoSure laser, which is FDA-approved for wrinkle reduction, acne scars and skin rejuvenation.

“We’ve gotten great feedback from our clients. Most clients come in for one service, see that we also have a host of other services and end up scheduling multiple other services,” Kerin noted. “Our goal is to provide the elegance of a spa, with the care of a physician.”
