Hertz becomes the latest new business to call Tuckahoe, and specifically Marbledale Road, its home, joining locations such as the Broken Bow Brewery and Home Ice Advantage skating rink that have opened up recently.
Latoya Rushion, the branch manager that will run the Tuckahoe location, said the rental car station was ideally located within walking distance to the Crestwood Train Station, with several other smaller villages and locales in the area.
According to Rushion, this Hertz location will be a full-service station, and employees will pick-up, drop-off and go out of their way to benefit customers, within reason.
“We can definitely pick up customers if they need to be picked up and brought to rent a car. We can do that as long as they aren’t too far, but we’ll go into Scarsdale, Bronxville, Eastchester, anywhere at least about five miles from here,” she said. “So we can pick the customer up, bring them back, if they need a ride we can also drop them off when they return the vehicle.”
Tuckahoe Mayor Steve Ecklond was personally on hand to welcome officials with Hertz to the village with a celebratory ribbon cutting and toast. He added the Chamber of Commerce was instrumental in getting Hertz to open up a location in the area.
“We’ve seen so many new businesses open up recently on Marbledale Road, and everyone is familiar with (Hertz’s) logo,” he said. “I’m just very proud they’ve chosen to make Tuckahoe their home for this latest location.”
