TV personality Jene Luciani will also be on hand to announce the Celebrity Prom Queen for its 10th anniversary fund raising gala, happening Jan. 23, 2014.
“LIFE, the Place to Be,” located at 2 Lawrence Street in Ardsley will be hosting the conference.
“Not only are we celebrating 10 years of being a Westchester based non-profit, but we are also proud to say that we are still 100 percent non-profit, with no salaries given at our organization. Everyone is a volunteer,” said Noel D’Allacco, Founder of Operation PROM in a statement.
In 2013, Operation PROM raised and fully funded the Senior Prom for the Channel View High School in Rockaway, Queens, which was affected by Hurricane Sandy.
For the 2014 prom season, money raised through the 10th Anniversary Gala and other fundraising opportunities will allow Operation PROM to once again select a high school in financial need and fund their prom.
Operation PROM covers the greater New York City areas, with eight chapters in the tri-state area, and six chapters across the country. To date, Operation PROM has helped thousands of students across the U.S. attend their prom at little or no cost.
