The program, which is supported by the Tuckahoe Public Library and New York Children’s Cultural Society, will give local children an introduction to our neighbors in the Far East.

There will be traditional Japanese toys and games for children and calligraphy lessons. Learn about classic flower arrangements and how to wear a kimono. There will be an array of Japanese dolls and armors, as well as a sushi demonstration and tea ceremony.

The Japanese Festival will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on May 10 at the Tuckahoe Public Library. Call the library at (914) 961-2121 or New York Children’s Cultural Society and Friends at (914) 374-9705 with any questions.
