DARIEN, Conn. The following is a statement from David Harvey Jewelers in reaction to Tuesday's robbery.
We want to express our thanks to those who expressed concern over yesterday's events. Unfortunately, we cannot comment any further as this is an ongoing criminal investigation. Anyone who has ever been in our situation is acutely aware how it feels to be a victim of a crime. Although it was incorrectly reported that our staff was forced to the ground, a crime is something no one wants to live through. We are grateful no one from the David Harvey family was injured, and I know the members of our community share our rage that crimes like this must be stopped. With the help of our security experts and through greater coordination of efforts with the Darien Police Department, incidents like this will be a thing of the past.
