Road Detour Alters New Rochelle Traffic Flow

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Roadwork on the northbound side of North Avenue is currently detouring drivers to the southbound side’s right turn lane near Eastchester Road, Beechmont Drive, and Iona College.

The right northbound lane and part of the left is currently blocked by utility trucks.

Cones alter the traffic pattern to the two southbound lanes of the avenue.

Electronic arrow signs signal drivers to use the appropriate lanes. A crew member also holds a stop and slow sign to assist drivers.
