The gala will take place at 7 p.m. at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel, 80 West Oak Lane, West Harrison, and will include cocktails, buffet dinner (dietary laws observed), silent auction and dancing.

This year’s celebration will be extended through Sunday, May 4, with a schoolwide celebration and a family festival and carnival at the JCC in Scarsdale. The celebration is open to everyone in the community. Proceeds will continue to support the JCC's multiple programs with special emphasis on special needs programming.

Special needs programming plays a key part in the important mission of the JCC of Mid- Westchester. “We are proud to celebrate 20 years of our special needs ‘Toward Tomorrow’ early childhood program and have been told how our early intervention has made a significant difference to the lives of many of the children who have passed through our doors.” said Executive Director Karen Kolodny.

Honorary gala chairman is Robert Arnow of Scarsdale; Gala chairs are Rachel Moseley of Scarsdale, Susan Rozin of New Rochelle and Helen Samuels of Manhattan. The JCC will honor Roger Kahn, treasurer and executive committee member of the board of directors, for his dedication to and support of the growth of the JCC. Alison Singer will receive the Community Service Award for her long-standing work in the special needs community. Singer is the co-founder and president of the Autism Science Foundation.
