The breakfast event will be held at Abigail Kirsch, 81 Highland Avenue, Tarrytown N.Y.

Astorino is expected to discuss achievements such as lowering the county’s property tax levy, having workers contribute to the cost of their health care premiums and shrinking the size of government, while laying the foundation for what businesses and residents can expect during his next term as county executive.

An important focus will be his plans for economic development and promoting Westchester as a county that is business friendly.

“We are pleased to have County Executive Astorino kick off our 2014 KeyBank Speaker Series and focus on issues that are so important to the business community,” said Marsha Gordon, president and CEO of The Business Council of Westchester.

Astorino, a Republican, was re-elected in November with 56 percent of the vote with a platform centered on protecting taxpayers, providing essential services and promoting economic growth.

A Marist poll, commissioned by Business Council of Westchester, prior to the election, found that taxes and the economy were important issues for taxpayers. The poll also found that 64 percent of responders thought the county was going in the right direction under the county executive’s leadership.
