Music Students Garner Attention In Tuckahoe Schools

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- The Tuckahoe Schools music students currently in the midst of a busy spring season have garnered much attention recently.

The Tuckahoe Middle School/High School spring musical production of Disney’s "The Little Mermaid" has been nominated for four Metropolitan High School Theatre awards.

The Middle/High School has received four nominations for the Metropolitan High School Theatre Awards for its production of Disney’s "The Little Mermaid.

The following are the awards that will be given June 6 at Archbishop Stepinac High School, White Plains:

  • Renz Toledo for Featured Ensemble Member and Comic Performance
  • Stage Crew
  • Andrew Gmoser for Lighting Design

Also recently, the student of Tuckahoe High School attended the annual Music in the Parks event in Jackson, N.J., where the Show Choir took first place and the high school band made their highest score ever. 

On June 3, the Middle School Show Choir, Chorus, 6th Grade and 7-8th Grade Concert Bands will participate in Music in the Parks New England. 

And the Cottle Chorus will again perform the National Anthem before the first pitch June 16 at a New York Mets game. 

In support of this honor, over 700 Cottle community members will be attending the game.
