Picture House In Pelham Screens 'My Blind Brother' At Picnic In The Park

PELHAM, N.Y. -- The Picture House Regional Film Center in Pelham will host an advance screening of the romantic comedy "My Blind Brother" at the Fifth Annual Picnic in the Park on Saturday.

In "My Blind Brother," a blind champion athlete and local sports hero, and his unassuming brother Bill vie for the affections of a charming lady named Rose.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film's director Sophie Goodhart.

In "My Blind Brother," Robbie (Adam Scott), a blind champion athlete and local sports hero, and his unassuming brother Bill (Nick Kroll) vie for the affections of a charming lady named Rose (Jenny Slate).

The R-rated film has a 90-minute running time.

After the Q&A, guests will head to the park directly across the street to enjoy a gourmet picnic dinner provided by DeCicco & Sons, followed by dancing under the stars and an exciting raffle featuring a chance to win two highly coveted tickets to the Broadway sensation, "Hamilton."

A selection of award-winning Kings County Distillery whiskeys from Apricots & Honey Wine and Spirits, and a deluxe soccer package from New York City FC will also be raffled at the event.

Additionally, new this year, a small but highly curated online auction will be open for guests and for those who cannot attend the event.

Bidding will be online only and will close at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Silent auction items will include two additional sets of tickets to "Hamilton," a trip to the Grenadines courtesy of Bayside Travel, four tickets to a New York Giants game (courtesy of Zenith US and the NFL Network) and more.
