Nathan Stepler was riding his 2002 Kawasaki 600 motorcycle on Lurgan Road — when he slammed on his breaks in an attempt to avoid crashing into Ralph Baylor, 72, of Newburg's 2021 Jeep as it turned left onto the road from Roxbury Road, state police explained.

Unfortunately, Nathan became airborne and his body struck the side of the Jeep around 6:11 a.m. on Sept. 12, troopers detailed.

Baylor was wearing his seatbelt and was unharmed. Even though Nathan was wearing protective gear, including a helmet, he sustained fatal injuries, according to the release.

He liked to spend his spare time working on his vehicles and playing Call of Duty., as stated in his obituary

He'll always be remembered for his love and loyalty to his friends and family. One friend noted in a Facebook post that "he drove HOURS just to see me for my birthday but at any time I could've called him and he'd have answered unlike so many friends/family."
