Monday, Jan. 7
Yonkers Avenue Reopening: The long-awaited reopening of Yonkers Avenue in Tuckahoe will take place on Monday.
PTA Council Meeting: 7 p.m. The Eastchester School District PTA Council will meet in the high school library. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
PTA Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe PTA will hold an executive board meeting in the high school library. 65 Siwanoy Blvd., Eastchester.
Tuesday, Jan. 8
Spring Sports: Spring sports signups for high school and middle school students begin today.
Scrabble Workshop: 9:30 a.m. The JCC of Mid-Westchester will host a workshop with three-time national Scrabble champion Joe Edley to help improve Scrabble and Words With Friends play. $25. 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale.
Book Discussion: 1:30 p.m. The Bronxville Women’s Club’s Literature Section will hold its monthly program. Participants will discuss “Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand,” by Helen Simonson. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.
Computer Class: 2 p.m. A free computer class will cover basic skills. Eastchester Public Library. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Afternoon Movie: 12:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will have a movie for adults with a screening of “Moonrise Kingdom,” starring Bill Murray and Bruce Willis. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Mystery Club: 3 p.m. A book discussion will be held on “Return of the Thin Man,” by Dashiell Hammett. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
PTA Meeting: 7:45 p.m. The Eastchester High School PTA will meet at the high school. 580 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
Thursday, Jan. 10
Board Games: 4 p.m. Teens can come to the Tuckahoe Public Library to play their favorite classic and new board games. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.
Village Board: 7 p.m. The Tuckahoe Village Board will hold a work session at Village Hall. 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.
