What To Do Around Eastchester This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – An adventure at the park, several film screenings and registration for a defensive driving class are some of the events planned in and around Eastchester this weekend.

Friday, Dec. 28

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its film series with a screening of “Men In Black 3,” starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

E-book Help: 3 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host its weekly class instructing adults about how to use e-books. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Music at the Park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase guest artist John James playing rock and soul. Guests will receive a free Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Dec. 29

Defensive Driving registration: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration begins for a Jan. 12 class. Checks can be made payable to the AARP for $19. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Animal Adventures: 11 a.m. Visit the Weinberg Nature Center for an hour long adventure where kids can meet furry, feathery, scaly, slimy and cuddly animals. $3. 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Teen movie: 2 p.m.  The Eastchester Public Library will screen “The Amazing Spider Man” for teenagers. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Sunday, Dec. 30

Story Circle: 1 p.m. Hear popular Charles Dickens stories illustrated by Jerry Pinkney. $5. 511 Warburton Ave., Yonkers.
