What To Do Around Eastchester This Holiday Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There are not a lot of activities scheduled around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this holiday weekend. There will be an open house for preschoolers on Saturday and a panel on immigration reform at Sarah Lawrence College on Veterans Day. Saturday, Nov. 10

Preschool Open House: 10 a.m. The French-American School of New York is hosting an open house for parents to learn about the bi-lingual and bi-cultural programs at the facility 85 Palmer Ave., Scarsdale.

Music Hustle for Breast Cancer Fight: 10:30 a.m. Get the gift of fitness for free with classes hosted at I Train With Juan. 30 Elm St., Tuckahoe.

Card-making workshop: 1 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library is having a free card-making workshop for kids. The theme this week will be Harry Potter. 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Sunday, Nov. 11

Fashion show: Eastchester High School students will put on a fashion show at Lake Isle Country Club. 660 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Monday, Nov. 12

Veterans Day: Schools are closed. Varsity and JV winter sports begin. Eastchester Town Hall and Tuckahoe Village Hall are also closed for the holiday.

Vacation Club: The Weinberg Nature Center will take children on adventures they won’t forget. Monday’s camp will be about American Indian village life. $55 per day or $45 for multiple sessions. 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Immigration Reform Panel: 5:30 p.m. There will be a discussion panel at Sarah Lawrence College with Razeen Zaman, Mizue Aizeki, Aygul Charles and Mayra Hidalgo on the Deferred Action Immigration Program and its political, legal, social and human implications, The college is at 1 Mead Way, Yonkers
