What To Do Around Eastchester This Week

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There is plenty to do around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this week. The Eastchester Town Board is meeting on Tuesday and the PTA holds a council meeting on Wednesday. See our Events Page for a complete list of local and county events.

 

Monday, Oct. 1 

Musical Youth Theatre Registration: Children in grades kindergarten through eighth are invited to sign up for fall theatre programs. Sign up before October 2 for a discount. $135. 133 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Nature Bugs class: 1:30 p.m. Children ages 2 through 5-years-old are welcome to learn about the insects that fill our world at the Greenburgh Nature Center. 99 Dromore Road, Greenburgh.

Tuesday, Oct. 2 

Afternoon film: 2 p.m. The Westchester Italian Cultural Center is screening “Mal’occhio: the Evil Eye,” a documentary that follows the journey of a young woman as she seeks the origin and power of the Evil Eye. Registration is required. $10 for non-members. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Paws and Tales: 4 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to hone their reading skills with some furry friends at the Tuckahoe Public Library. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Understanding New Tax Laws: 7 p.m. Harvard Law graduate Neil R. Lubarsky will help residents understand the new estate tax laws at the Bronxville Adult School. 177 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.

Town Board: 8 p.m. The Eastchester Town Board will have the first of two meetings in the month. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

Wednesday, Oct. 3

PTA Council: 7 p.m. The Eastchester PTA will have a meeting in the Eastchester High School library. 550 White Plains Road, Eastchester. 

Thursday, Oct. 4

Architectural Review Board: 7 p.m. The Eastchester Architectural Review Board will have its only meeting in October. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.
