Columbus Day carnival: 1 to 6 p.m. The Columbus Day carnival will wrap up at Lake Isle Country Club. 660 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
SARG Fitness Womens Boot Camp: 8 p.m. This class delivers one hour of high-intensity fun and motivating exercise to help women get and stay in shape. Participants perform cardio and strength training in a team environment. $18. 480 New Rochelle Road, Bronxville.
Tuesday, Oct. 9
Board of Education: 8 p.m. There will be a Board of Education work session for parents and PTA members. 550 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
Language classes for adults: Learn to speak Italian at the Westchester Italian Cultural Center. From 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., instructor Leslie Poole Petit will concentrate on active communication in Italian. From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., classes will focus on increasing vocabulary and language comprehension. From 1:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., students will learn everyday communication skills. $375 for 10 classes. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.
Learn about real estate: 7 p.m. Learn secrets about how to get your home ready for the market, how homes are prices and why appraisals are so important. $35. 177 Pondfield Road, Bronxville.
Wednesday, Oct. 10
Cooking classes: 6:30 p.m. The jewels of the Italian forest, rich chestnuts, fresh walnuts, and earthy mushrooms, usher in the seasons chilly nights and inspire this collection of warming autumn recipes. Zoning Board meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Zoning Board will hear applications and public hearings for local changes. 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.
Thursday, Oct. 11
Mommy and Me Italian Class: 10:30 a.m. Teachers will engage children by immersing them in the Italian language through age-appropriate activities. Designed for children ages 1-3. $200. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.
College fair: 7 p.m. Eastchester High School will host college representatives for juniors and seniors heading toward their degrees. 550 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
