EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Eastchester and Tuckahoe residents can stay busy this week, as there is plenty to do locally. Monday, Oct. 15

Board of Education meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Board of Education has its monthly meeting in the high school library. See the agenda here . 65 Siwanoy Blvd., Eastchester.

Tuckahoe Village Board meeting: 8 p.m. The Village Board welcomes presentations from Boy Scouts Troop 353, the Community Fund and from the Green Policy Task Force. See the agenda here . 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

Computer class: 2 p.m. Learn a language using the new online learning tool, “Rocket Language.” 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Donald P. Green Lecture: 3:30 p.m. Listen to the author speak about voting behavior, partisanship, campaign finance, hate crime and research methods; free. 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.

Swing dance classes: 7:30 p.m. This six-week course is for adults with basic experience. Will be held on Tuesday evenings through Nov. 20 at the JCC of Mid-Westchester Dance School. $25. 999 Wilmot Road, Scarsdale.

Wednesday, Oct. 17

WNC Nature Kids: 12:30 p.m. The Weinberg Nature Center introduces children to nature. The preschool drop-off class will feature live animals, stories, collages, crafts and games. $175 for eight sessions. 455 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Author discussion: 7 p.m. Bestselling author Da Chen discusses his latest book, “My Last Empress” at the Tuckahoe Public Library. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Thursday, Oct. 18

Bird presentation: 7 p.m. Sandy Morrissey, founder of the Easter Bluebird Project, gives a multimedia presentation on the progress and stories from monitoring more than 400 nesting boxes in the county. 50 Olmsted Road, Scarsdale.

PTA Meeting: 7:45 p.m. The Eastchester High School PTA has its monthly meeting. 65 Stewart Ave., Eastchester.
