What To Do Around Eastchester This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The beginning of holiday recess for schools, a Nativity presentation and several library events are just some of the events scheduled around Eastchester this holiday weekend.

Friday, Dec. 21

Half Day of School: Eastchester schools will begin the holiday recess with an early dismissal. Greenvale will be let out at 10:30 a.m.; the Middle and High School will be dismissed at 10:50 a.m.; and Anne Hutchinson and Waverly will be released at 11:15 a.m. Classes will resume on Jan. 2.

Film Series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its film series with a screening of “Hope Springs,” starring Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

E-book Help: 3 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will host its weekly class instructing adults about how to utilize e-books most effectively. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Nativity Presentation: 7:30 p.m. There will be a living Nativity scene to celebrate the holidays at the Eastchester Community Church. There will be a real stable with live animals. 11 Woodlot Road, Eastchester.

Music at the Park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase guest artist John James playing rock and soul. Guests will receive a free Park bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, Dec. 22

Community Christmas Party: 12 p.m. The Nepperhan Community Center’s Community Christmas party will have toys for children, food and entertainment. 342 Warburton Ave., Yonkers.

Sunday, Dec. 23

Nativity Presentation: 10:30 p.m. There will be a living Nativity scene to celebrate the holidays at the Eastchester Community Church. There will be a real stable with live animals. 11 Woodlot Road, Eastchester.
