What To Do Around Eastchester This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – A tax class, candy tasting and Chinese open house highlight the events planned around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this weekend.

Friday, March 1

Tax help: 10:30 a.m. The AARP will offer free tax advice for residents at the Tuckahoe Public Library. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its winter film series with a screening of “Flight,” starring Denzel Washington. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Music at the Park: 9:30 p.m. Park 143 Bistro will showcase guest artist John James playing rock and soul. Guests will receive a free Park Bellini. 143 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Saturday, March 2

Babies and Bagels: 9:15 a.m. This informal, drop-in playgroup is for babies and toddlers with their moms, dads, caregivers and grandparents. All are welcome. No fee. Westchester Reform Temple, 255 Mamaroneck Road, Scarsdale.

Children’s Art Class: 9:45 a.m. Children ages 3 to 5 can gain confidence in self-expression through painting, sculpting, drawing, collage, dramatic play and more at Gymboree. 450 Central Park Ave., Greenburgh.

Candy Tasting: 11 a.m. Imagine Candy will host a free chocolate and candy tasting for residents. 22 Harwood Court, Scarsdale.

Open House: 1 p.m. There will be a workshop for children to see how easy it can be to learn Chinese. 52 Popham Road, Scarsdale.

Sunday, March 3

“Love Letters”: 2 p.m. The Friends of the Eastchester Public Library will present M&M Productions Acting Company. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.
