What's Happening Around Eastchester This Weekend?

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – There will be plenty for residents to do this weekend in and around Eastchester and Tuckahoe. The Bronxville Public Library is hosting a day of Wild West fun on Friday, and seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion John McEnroe will host a free tennis clinic for kids on Sunday. Friday, Aug. 24

Potluck: 11:30 a.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library is hosting its “Wild Card Book Share Potluck.” 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its summer film series as it screens “Bernie,” starring Jack Black. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Wacky Wild West Day: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Bronxville Public Library is hosting an afternoon of fun dedicated to the Wild West. There will be crafts, stories, games, face painting and raffles. The day will conclude with a screening of “Rango,” 201 Pondfield Road, Bronxville. 

Wonderland the musical: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wonderland is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s “Through the Looking Glass,” featuring hip-hopping music. $20 for adults; $10 for students and seniors. 600 N. Broadway, Yonkers.

Free concert: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Vanessa Flabella will perform a free concert at the Yonkers Amphitheatre at the Yonkers Waterfront. 71 Water Grant St., Yonkers.

Sunday, Aug. 26 

John McEnroe tennis clinic: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tennis greats John McEnroe and Peter Fleming will host a clinic for local kids at Lake Isle Country Club. 660 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Science Barge: 2 p.m. The Science Barge on Yonkers’ waterfront invites children aged 4 through 10 for hands-on arts and science workshops. This week there will be a “blue crab blitz.” $5. 99 Dock St., Yonkers.

Sara Evans: 7:30 p.m. Sara Evans will host a concert at the Yonkers Raceway. $40-$100. 810 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.
