What's Happening Around Eastchester This Weekend

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Residents in Eastchester and Tuckahoe will be busy this weekend, with a full slate of events scheduled. The Eastchester varsity football team continues its season in Poughkeepsie on Friday and Dr. Michael Kerin will demonstrate some of his practice’s most innovative technologies in Tuckahoe on Saturday. Friday, Sept. 14

Film series: 1 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will continue its fall film series with a screening of “Out of Africa.” 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester. 

Free concert: 6:30 p.m. The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free outdoor concert at Leonard Morange Park. Ali Isabella will perform and there will be various vendors. 135 Parkway Road, Bronxville.

Varsity football: 6:30 p.m. The Eastchester varsity football team travels to Poughkeepsie for its second game of the season. 70 Forbus St., Poughkeepsie.

Saturday, Sept. 15

Tuckahoe Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The farmers market will once again return to the parking lot at the Metro-North Station across from the Generoso Pope Foundation. 1 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Med Spa Soiree: 1 p.m. Dr. Kerin and his staff will have a live demonstration of their state-of-the-art CoolSculpting technique. Learn more about the services the doctor offers at his Tuckahoe office. There will be refreshments and raffles. 115 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Piccoli Cuochi: 2 p.m. Children are invited to the Westchester Italian Cultural Center to make pasta dough by hand and turn it into a unique shape. No adults may participate without children. Registration is required. $20 for members; $30 for non-members. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Italian Genealogy Fair: 2 p.m. The Westchester Italian Cultural Center is hosting a fair with experts who will be on hand to answer any genealogical questions. Registration is required. Free for members; $10 for non-members. 24 Depot Square, Tuckahoe.

Sunday, Sept. 16

Science Barge: 2 p.m. Children can be introduced to perception puzzles that will encourage the discovery of symmetry, eye and mind connection and manipulation of perception. The lesson will be undertaken using scientific method. $5, 99 Dock St., Yonkers.
