Monday, Sept. 17

Rosh Hashanah: Schools are closed. 

New You Challenge: 8:30 a.m. These classes explore different concepts of fitness from developing endurance, core strength and flexibility to weight loss. 30 Elm St., Tuckahoe.

Teen movie: 6 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will screen “Captain America” for teenagers. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

Paws and Tales: 4 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to hone their reading skills with some furry friends at the Tuckahoe Public Library. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Childbirth class: 7:30 p.m. Lawrence Hospital is offering childbirth classes for expectant parents. Parents can attend class on three consecutive Tuesdays, or complete the entire session on a single Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class costs $200 per couple. 55 Palmer Ave., Bronxville. 

Town Board meeting: 8 p.m. The Eastchester Town Board will host its only meeting of September. 40 Mill Road, Eastchester.

Wednesday, Sept. 19

Library Board of Trustees: 6 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library will have its monthly meeting. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Slow Flow yoga: 6 p.m. A gentle, restorative and therapeutic yoga class at Yoga Haven in Tuckahoe. A welcoming class for beginners. 62 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Board of Education meeting: 8 p.m. The Eastchester Public School District is hosting its monthly meeting. 65 Stewart Place, Eastchester.

Thursday, Sept. 20

Bronxville Board of Education Meeting: 6 p.m. Executive Session, 7 p.m. (approximately) public session, 177 Pondfield Road. Here is the agenda.  

Winter Sports Sign Ups Begin: Middle and High School students can start signing up for winter activities.

Open House: The Eastchester Middle School is having its open house for parents. 550 White Plains Road, Eastchester.
