EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – A village board meeting, fire district election and the Tuckahoe Public Library’s centennial celebration highlight the events scheduled around Eastchester and Tuckahoe this week.

Monday, Dec. 10

Hanukkah Party: 4:30 p.m. The Bronxville Women’s Club will host a celebration. 135 Midland Ave., Bronxville.

Author Reading: 6 p.m. English writer Geoff Dyer will be visiting Sarah Lawrence College to discuss his work in the Slonim Living Room. 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.

Jazz Concert: 7:30 p.m. Student instrumentalists will perform music from the Performance Workshop, Jazz Colloquium and Matt Wilson’s jazz class. Sarah Lawrence College, 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.

Village Board Meeting: 8 p.m. A public meeting of the Tuckahoe Village Board of Trustees will be held in the meeting room at Village Hall. 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Tuesday, Dec. 11

Fire District Election: The Eastchester Board of Fire Commissioners election will pit incumbent Ray Albanese against Steven Baker and John Palazzolo.

Board of Education Meeting: 8 p.m. The regular monthly board meeting will be held in the Eastchester High School Library Media Center. 2 Stewart Place, Eastchester.

Wednesday, Dec. 12

Slow Flow Yoga: 6 p.m. A gentle, restorative and therapeutic yoga class at Yoga Haven in Tuckahoe. A welcoming class for beginners. $22. 62 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Library Centennial: 6:30 p.m. The Tuckahoe Public Library will celebrate its 100th year in the village with a party for the public. 71 Columbus Ave., Tuckahoe.

Mystery Club: 7 p.m. The Eastchester Public Library Mystery Club will discuss “The Body in the Transept” by Jeanne M. Dams. 11 Oakridge Place, Eastchester.

Zoning Board Meeting: 7:30 p.m. Zoning Board meetings are scheduled according to applications received for public hearings. 65 Main St., Tuckahoe.

Thursday, Dec. 13

Tree Trimming Party: 6:30 p.m. The New Image Laser and Med Spa is hosting its first annual tree trimming party. Bring an ornament to hang on the holiday tree. Drinks and treats will be offered. 132 Fisher Ave., Eastchester.

Night of the Blues: 7 p.m. Thirty solo vocalists will perform their favorite blues standards in the Marshall Field Room at Sarah Lawrence College. 1 Mead Way, Bronxville.
