Bronxville Library To Host Lecture On George Washington's Military Career

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Anne Hutchinson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will honor George Washington's upcoming birthday with an educational program on Washington’s 30-year military career at the Bronxville Public Library on Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

The guest lecturer for the event is William L Wienecke, a retired history teacher of 36 years from the Somers Central School District.

Wieneke is also a living history reenactor, and will portray Washington – in full military regalia – as he describes the most dramatic and pivotal moments in Washington's military life.

Reservations are not required for the event, but space is limited.
