New lighted garlands now adorn the village’s east side while fresh holiday wreaths have been hung on the west side, according to a statement from the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.
Courtesy of the village, the new garlands were purchased after new street lamps were positioned on Bronxville’s east side, according to the Chamber, which said the garlands were selected because the new lamps allow for decorations requiring an electrical supply.
Provided by Mrs. Morgan’s Flower Shop of Parkway Road, the wreaths used to decorate the village’s west side arrived courtesy of NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital, according to the Chamber.
Susan Miele, executive director of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce, said she and the rest of her organization were thankful to the village and NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital for their assistance.
“This is another fine example of both parties' dedication to enhancing our community and keeping our downtown vibrant,” she said of the organizations.
According to the Chamber, Bronxville’s Department of Public Works aided in the decoration effort by hanging the décor throughout the village.
