Cowboys, astronauts, princesses and Jedi knights converged at the Eastchester Middle School before walking down White Plains Road to Eastchester Town Hall.
Officials from the Eastchester Little League provided participants with goody bags that could be used to hold Halloween candy, doughnuts and juice. Children and their parents got fake tattoos from the Eastchester-Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce, and costumes were judged in several categories.
Eastchester police and fire personnel controlled traffic and ensured that everyone who participated in the parade was kept safe.
There were several costume winners from Eastchester. Dylan and Kylie Hendrie were a pirate and a pirate princess; Matthew Battista threw on gloves and was a boxer; Amanda Kirkpatrick dressed up as a cake, and Romeo Latto donned a hat and whip and played the role of Indiana Jones.
