Tuckahoe Library's 39th Annual Poetry Contest Open For Submissions

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The 39th annual Tuckahoe Library poetry contest is on with entries welcomed from grades four through eight at the Tuckahoe Middle School, the William E. Cottle School, Immaculate Conception School, Greenvale School, Eastchester Middle School, and Anne Hutchinson School. 

The poetry contest, hosted by Tuckahoe Public Library, is eligible for students in the school district from fourth to eighth grades.

One entry per student and it must include name, address, phone number, school name and grade. Entries can be submitted to English teachers. All entries must be at the library by Friday, April 1, 2016. An awards ceremony will be held for poets who win first, second and third prize for each grade. 

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Tuckahoe Public Library. Tuckahoe Public Library is at 71 Columbus Ave.
