Growlers Beer Bistro, Tuckahoe

Number of Craft Beers: 16 draft lines, one cask line, 60+ bottles and cans.

Why It's Liquid Gold: Owner Eric Lorberfeld said he and his team like to say that Growlers is not a restaurant and it's not a bar. Instead, "It is an intimate, relaxing, hip and jazzy beer-centric bistro/lounge."

"Since we have rotating draft beer lines we rarely have the same beer on twice and they change several times a day," he said. "This keeps the beer fresh and the choices abundant. That said, we always make sure our range of offerings is balanced, meaning we always have a lighter pilsner or lager, a hearty porter or stout and many other styles in between. We also are fortunate enough to get first releases of many sought after beers and we are proud to say that we now have had over 20 (and counting…) 'first pours' of new beers from craft breweries all over the world.

Among some popular pours: Wakefield Miami Madness, J. Wakefield Orange Dreamsicle, Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett Street, Crooked Stave Origins and a regular stream of Hill Farmstead on draft.
