Tune into "Unmapped," a new podcast by Uncover Studios, a White Plains-based podcast and influencer company.

The new show, which debuted in October 2017, stars Angelina Zeppieri, a New Rochelle native. Adam Raymonda, another New Ro native, produces it.

Unmapped, according to Dave Keine, Uncover's Managing Director, is a narrative, non-fiction diary similar in style to podcasts such as "Millennial" or "This American Life" in which Zeppieri chronicles her journeys to destinations near and far, while also exploring what it’s like to navigate the world in your 20s. Along the way she takes you on trips and sits down with expert nomads.

So far, Greece, New Orleans, Coney Island and Rockefeller Center have been part of the program but don't be surprised if you start to hear about Mexico City, the Caribbean, Portugal or Thailand, the latter of which are great destinations for 2018, according to Zeppieri.

"Foodies will want to visit Thailand in 2018 as its a culinary hot spot for both fine dining and street food and there are fantastic off-the-grid destinations within the country that adventure seekers will love," she said.

"Mexico City should also be on everyone's list. It's a cultural oasis filled with history, art and amazing, authentic food.

"Then there's the Caribbean, which is making a major comeback from the hurricanes and is going to be better than ever this year. For Europe, I think Portugal is going to have a huge uptick in tourism."

As for the program, Keine said it's something that hasn’t been done in podcasting yet.

"Most travel podcasts are just people sitting around talking about destinations, but Unmapped actually takes you there," he said.

"Angelina’s narration, the real recorded sounds, and the high-production sound design paint a picture in your mind."

The podcast comes out every other Wednesday. Between episodes, Uncover publishes super short bonus minisodes that include travel tips. Go here to listen.
