"March is Women's History Month so let's use this time to acknowledge and nominate the women in our community who work to make a difference," Paulin said.

Paulin honored the women of Pelham in 2014, and those of Bronxville in 2015, to help celebrate Women's History Month, which occurs each March. County Legislator Sheila Marcotte and Tuckahoe Mayor Steve Ecklond will join Paulin this year in honoring these extraordinary women and their efforts to improve the Tuckahoe community.

Nominations should be sent to paulina@assembly.state.ny.us and must include the nominee's qualifications and why she should be considered as a Tuckahoe Woman of Distinction. Include Tuckahoe Women of Distinction in the subject line of the e-mail. The deadline for nominations is April 1.

The ceremony will take place at the Tap House, at 16 Depot Square, in Tuckahoe, from 4-6 p.m.
