Bonci, Former Tuckahoe Teacher, Dies at 74

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. - Edward Joseph Bonci, of Tuckahoe, died March 5 in Bronxville. He was 74.

He was born April 22, 1937 to Marcillio and Anna Sokol in Yonkers. He attended Tuckahoe High School and City College of New York and married Toni Fusco on May 28, 1960. Bonci worked as a lithography teacher at Mt. Vernon High School. He also worked as print shop supervisor at SUNY Purchase.

He is survived by his wife Toni, his brothers Marcillio "John" Bonci and Alex Bonci, his sons Edward A. Bonci, Andrew S. Bonci and Jon Bonci, his daughters Marina Reid and Claudine Bonci and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father Marcillio.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Crematory in Hartsdale.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
