Bronxville's Chapel School Travels 'The Yellow Brick Road' To Oz

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Chapel School in Bronxville will present its spring theater performance of "The Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum, from May 6 - 8 (Friday - Sunday).

Guests can come see Dorothy Gale of Kansas and hear their favorite songs from "The Wizard of Oz" film, including "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

Tickets are available and may be purchased in advance by calling (914)-337-0207, ext. 1039. All tickets are $10. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The showtimes will be 7 p.m. on Friday; 1 and 7 p.m. on Saturday; and 3:30 p.m., Sunday.

Team Chapel Arts recently ran the Bear Mountain Endurance Challenge to help raise money for the arts-and-drama program at the Chapel School.

The seven team members raised more than $6,500. The Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell, senior pastor of Village Lutheran Church and Team Chapel Arts member, sprayed his sneakers "ruby red" as an homage to "The Wizard of Oz."
