Posner, a 10-time Tony nominee, won the award in 2007 for “Coast of Utopia Part 2 – Shipwreck.” This year, he was nominated for his work on “Kinky Boots,” “Pippin” and ”Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.”

Hugh Vanstone earned the final of four nominations for “Matilda The Musical.”

If Posner is able to avoid an upset and claim his second Tony, he will be the second straight Eastchester resident to take home a Tony for lighting. Last year, Jeff Croiter won the an award for his lighting design on the play “Peter and the Starcatcher.”
