Eastchester, Tuckahoe Students Earn College Accolades

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Several students residing in Eastchester and Tuckahoe were celebrated on their college campuses for their academic accomplishments during the fall 2012 semester.

In Tuckahoe, sophomore accounting major Matthew Casella was named to the Dean’s List at Saint Michael’s College for achieving at least a 3.4 grade point average. After earning a minimum 3.5 average, Elizabeth McShane was awarded the same honor at Fairfield University. At SUNY New Paltz, Zoe Kheyman graduated with a degree in philosophy along with 600 other undergraduate students.

Eastchester resident Rebecca Fix was named to the Dean’s List at the University of Hartford, and Courtney Waldmann, an interdisciplinary studies major, was named to the President’s List at James Madison University. To qualify for that distinction, full-time students must complete 12 credit hours and maintain a grade point average of at last 3.9.
