Eastchester's Alyssa Raguso Earns $1,000 Scholarship

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- Alyssa Raguso, an Eastchester resident and sophomore at Wake Forest University, is the recipient of a $1,000 college scholarship from the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America Educational Foundation.

Raguso is one of 27 college students from across the country who were awarded scholarships from the WSWA Educational Foundation to help pay for their higher education, the association announced last week.

The competitive awards are presented each year to college student dependents of WSWA member firm employees, based on an assessment of the application elements by an independent board of judges. Raguso’s father is employed by Southern Wine & Spirits of New York Inc., a member of WSWA.
