They will be picking up trash, cleaning up debris, planting some native plants and removing invasive plants and vines. As usual, they will supply some gloves, loppers, grabbers, rakes and bags but if you have your own gloves and tools, please do bring them. They also will supply refreshments, such as coffee and sweets to keep you well fueled but please bring your own reusable water bottle. Dress appropriately for the weather of the day but water/mud proof boots are always an asset. Wear long sleeves or jacket in case it is cool and wearing a baseball cap can help keep branches away from the face.
These cleanups are actually fun and, of course, very rewarding. Come for as long as you can, bring your friends, neighbors, kids, and kids' friends. It's a great way to commune with nature on this wonderful piece of Mother Earth right here in the middle of suburbia.
