Eastchester's Pasqualina Gruber Dies at 77

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. - Pasqualina I. "Pat" Gruber, a lifelong resident of Eastchester, died Nov. 5. She was 77.  Gruber worked as secretary of the Eastchester Board of Fire Commisioners and treasurer of the Fire District for over 40 years.

Born on Mar. 15, 1934, she attended Tuckahoe schools. On Sep. 6, 1952, she married Theodore John Gruber at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe. She worked in the Tuckahoe Village Clerk's office in the 1950's before her employment with the Eastchester Fire District.

Gruber is survived by her son Theodore J. Gruber and his wife Joanie, her daughters Cara M. Piliero and Patricia Clarizio, her brother Peter Iodice. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore on Sep. 23, 1997 and her sister Frances Iodice.

Visiting hours are Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester. A funeral mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Assumption Church, followed by interment at Holy Mount Cemetery.
