TUCKAHOE, N.Y. – Ester Fagnani, a lifelong resident of Tuckahoe, died June 4. She was 98.
Fagnani was born Jan. 8, 1914, in Tuckahoe. She worked at Cornell's True Value Hardware Store for many years. Fagnani also worked for many years with the Eastchester Girl Scouts.
She was married to the late Joseph Fagnani. She is survived by two sons, George and Joseph Fagnani Jr.; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester. A requiem Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
