Junior League Offers Scholarships To Students In Eastchester

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Junior League of Central Westchester is offering college-bound high school students in Eastchester, Greenburgh, Scarsdale and White Plains the opportunity to apply for volunteer service scholarships.

The Junior League hopes to promote volunteer work by giving away $1,000 Volunteer Service Awards to female high school seniors who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism.

Applicants must be high school seniors going to either a two- or four-year college in the fall. They must have demonstrated a commitment to volunteering during high school from September 2010 to March 2013.

Applications can be downloaded on the league's website and must be submitted by April 15.
