EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Employees of Scarsdales Keller Williams Realty Group will be participating in a Catch-A-Thon to benefit special education programs at Eastchester Public Schools.
RED Day, Keller Williams annual service day, is Thursday, May 14, according to a press release.
Those associated with the Scarsdale office decided to spend the day with children at Waverly Early Childhood Center and the Anne Hutchinson School.
"RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others," Carolyn Gensch, the leader of Keller Williams Scarsdales service day team.
Last year, we hosted a lifesaving blood drive and collected over 40 pints of blood. We cant tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally. We all know that filling all the gaps in our communities can't be accomplished by serving just once a year.
RED Day just happens to be the one-day expression of the constant state of the Keller Williams culture. We see a need, discover who can meet it and get it done.
Keller Williams Realty Group associates Sinead Couglan, Jeff Hanrahan, Margarita Kocovic, Tanya Makan, and Amanda Saraceno, are serving on this years RED Day planning committee.
Eastchester students will seek sponsors for the upcoming catch-a-thon.
The event will be held later this month during recess, with all proceeds benefiting the Special Education Parents Teacher Association (SEPTA).
The Special Education Department is grateful for the generous donations that are given to our Special Education PTA to aid in funding innovative programs for our students, Noreen Urso, director of pupil personnel services at Eastchester Public Schools, said in a press release.
