Kids Take Part In Bronxville Junior League Annual Meeting

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. -- The Junior League of Bronxville had its annual Junior General Membership Meeting, on Tuesday, Jan. 26, when league members and their children to attend a meeting together.

The kids discussed the meaning of volunteerism while creating Valentine’s Day cards for the seniors at Wartburg in Mount Vernon.

"It has been a wonderful tradition of the JLB to involve our children in a community outreach project each year," said League President Sheridan Denfeld. "Volunteering teaches even very little children about compassion, empathy, tolerance, gratitude and community responsibility."

The JBL describres its core cause as "tackling the issue of hunger in its service areas of Bronxville, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Tuckahoe and Yonkers."
