Tween/ Teen Book Club

The monthly book club for grades 6-8 will meet again Saturday, Jan. 17 at 11:30 a.m. to discuss “The Rithmatist” by Brandon Sanderson. More than anything, Joel wants to be a Rithmatist. He wants to have the power to infuse life into two-dimensional figures known as Chalklings. Rithmatists are humanity’s only defense against the Wild Chalklings. Having nearly overrun the territory of Nebrask, the Wild Chalklings now threaten all of the American Isles. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Pre-registration is suggested online here or by emailing Elizabeth at eportillo@wlsmail.org. Technology Club

The goal of the library's Technology Club is to learn and explore technology. The monthly club will have lessons and work on a project for the library. The club is open to grades 9 and up. The first meeting will be Saturday, Jan 31 at 11:30 a.m. The year’s lessons and projects will be discussed.

Pre-registration is suggested online here or by emailing Elizabeth at eportillo@wlsmail.org. For more information on any of these programs, visit the temporary website of the current teen programs at the library here. Other ways to get involved: Library Teen Group Publication Book Reviews/ Artwork
