TUCKAHOE, N.Y. Richard Taylor Williams, Sr., 81, of Bedford, died April 9.
Williams was president of Williams Automatic in Tuckahoe for more than 30 years.
He was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Orange, N.J., to Edwin Taylor and Arline Little. He attended the Pennington School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Williams worked at Williams Automatic, a heating and air conditioning company, until retiring in 2000.
Williams also served on the board of American Republic Insurance. He married Julianne Lay on Nov, 24, 1956, who survives him.
He is also survived by two sons, Richard Taylor Williams, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas; and David Lay Williams, of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Sheryl Lynn Williams, of Copake, N.Y.; a foster daughter, Julie Micone; and three grandsons.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Bedford Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Camphill Village .
