He was presented a special honor by Lion President Ray Albanese at the club's Oct. 13 meeting at Roma’s Restaurant.
Flax has been a Lion for 39 years and has served the club as treasurer, vice president and president.
“It is very rewarding to help fulfill community needs, and it is a great honor to be presented with this award,” he said.
