TUCKAHOE, N.Y. - Michael A. Salvatore of Tuckahoe died Dec. 16, surrounded by family. He was 90.
He graduated from Tuckahoe High School in 1939 and served in combat during World War II. Salvatore served as a medic in the Battle of the Bulge until the end of the war.
He was the general manager of GM Crocetti, a tile and marble construction company in Bronx, N.Y. An avid golfer, Salvatore won many tournaments.
He is survived by his wife Grace Volpe, his sons Arthur Salvatore and Philip Salvatore, his daughter Janice Salvatore, his sisters Yolando Lagana and Jean Salerno.
The family received friends at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester on Sunday. A funeral mass will be held at Church of the Assumption Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Ferncliff Cemetery.
