TUCKAHOE, N.Y. Michele Rapa, a resident of Tuckahoe, died Oct. 18 at the age of 79.
Rapa worked for the Bronxville Department of Public Works in sanitation for many years, before retiring in 1996. He was born Sep. 29, 1932 in Veroli, Italy to Natale and Maria Luisa Rapa.
Surviving him are his wife Domenica Mimma Rapa, his son Luciano Rapa with his wife Christine, his daughters Emanuela Cellamare with husband Robert and Isabella Autorino with husband Nick and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to p.m. at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester on Thursday. The funeral mass will be held at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Interment to follow at Bronxville Cemetery.
