From 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., beginning on Tuesday night, there will be daily closures on the southbound Bronx River Parkway at Crane Road and the entrance ramp from Fenimore Road. Closures are expected to last through Thursday night, weather permitting.

In addition to the evening southbound closures, East Parkway southbound from Crane Road will also be closed. A detour will be posted that will lead motorists to Chase Road, then Christie Place.

There will be intermittent stoppages for up to 10 minutes while equipment is moved. Those who need to drive in the area are advised to seek alternative routes.

These closures are in addition to previously announced daytime closures of northbound lanes on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Yonkers to the Westchester County Center in White Plains. Those will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. through July 19.

The Crane Road Bridge Project began last year, and is expected to continue through 2015. When it is completed, the outdated, deteriorated bridge will be replaced with a state-of-the-art successor.
