On Tuesday, Bronxville Police Chief Christopher Satriale announced that the village would remain under the emergency state in an effort to allow DPW crews to continue clearing roads for safety.

Parking rules will be suspended on Tuesday, and there will be no sanitation pickup. Village Hall will remain closed, and court is cancelled on Wednesday. Vehicles that were parked in a municipal lot overnight must be removed.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will see an additional one or two inches of snow accumulating in Bronxville, with a wind chill value between five and 15 degrees. There is a slight chance of additional snow overnight, with blustering winds.

With wind gusts expected to reach 35 mph, residents have been advised that power lines are subject to damage. And individual power outages can be submitted to Con Edison at 1-800-75-CONED.

“While we did not receive the predicted amount of snow, travel remains dangerous, roadways are snow covered. The Department of Public Works has been working through the night to clear roadways and will continue today,” Satriale said. “The state of emergency remains in effect, unnecessary travel is prohibited.”
