Con Edison services 2,867 customers in Tuckahoe and 2,529 in Bronxville.
UPDATE, 6:30 p.m.
Sergeant Grey of the Bronxville police said parts of Bronxville have lost power within the past 20 minutes. The power outages are impacting many residents throughout the village. Con Edison has been notified about the situation. The cause of the power loss is a result of high winds from Hurricane Sandy.
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – Though rain from Hurricane Sandy has yet to reach the area, residents around Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville were already feeling the effects Monday midday.
According to Con Edison, one outage has been reported in Tuckahoe. It remained unclear how long the outage will remain.
In Bronxville, one customer has been affected by the weather on Cayuga Road, and Con Edison is reporting that service wires were down. On Dusenberry Road, one customer was experiencing a power outage and reporting that wires were down. On Pondfield Road, two separate outages were affecting two customers. Con Edison was uncertain about how long it will take to restore power.
